When I knew that my friend Vana Chupp's new book was out I was so excited for her!
Her taste is exquisite!!
The first thing I ever ordered from her was a set of cards with the silhouette of all three of my children on it.
Everyone that ever received one of these cards oohed and aahed over them.
Since I first met Vana her business has exploded.
It has been so fun to watch her business and creativity grow.
When her publisher sent me a copy of the book asking for me to do a review I was THRILLED.
First of all I have been wanting to do a project like this for years and have just never took the time.
Vana's book is full of all kinds of silhouette projects, papers and even a resource list so you can make so many beautiful things that are in her shop.
I invited my sister over to make silhouettes of her children too.
They all turned out beautifully and I was so shocked how easy they were.
(I mounted my silhouettes on burlap, vintage sheet music and vintage lace)
The good news is that I have TWO books to giveaway!!!!
One book is from the publisher and one is from me:-)
To enter into the drawing just leave a comment.
To have more chances to win just twitter or facebook about the giveaway.
I will randomly pick two winners on Monday.
Now, go and checkout Vana's amazing shop!!!
You can also find the book here and here.
Your silhouettes look spectacular!
I'd love to win a copy of the book!

My 1st grade teacher made silhouettes of her students for Mom's day each year. My mom had us three "big kids" framed on the wall for years. I loved the look then, and still do today. None of my kid's teachers ever tried that, but maybe it will come back with this wonderful book to inspire others.
LOVE how you added to the simple beauty with the different backgrounds. I'm going to have to borrow that idea!

I think it's amazing how much each silhouette truly looks like each of your children. And I love the backgrounds you chose for them. Lovely project! I imagine the kids loved doing it too:)
