Wonderful pictures. Looks like everyone had a great time. I'm going home to my roots in a few weeks. I can hardly wait:)

Jackie

So adorable and all-American!! I LOVE the stories and pictures!

PS We had those tupperware popsicle things too - I think orange juice was my favorite!

Sue

How wonderful that you are able to share such a wholesome and totally American experience with your children. That part of Illinois is beautiful (I grew up just outside Chicago, but loved to get away from the city and into the farmland). Don't envy you that drive from Colorado though - you are most definately Wonder Woman!

It looks like such a great time! Have you ever had s'more's with reeses peanut butter cups instead of hershy's chocolate? Pretty yummy... kind of rich though... But if you put peanut butter on it, I will eat it!

Next time I'm coming too! :)

I grew up on a ranch too...my brother (2 years younger) and I would play for hours. Boy those were the days...wish my kiddos could do the same. My parents sold the ranch about 15 years ago and sometimes I drive by and choke up a bit. I miss it so much, your children are so blessed, they will always remember their wonderful childhood with fondness. Many blessings today!

Oh Jeanne the kids look like they were having a great time, can I go next time!! I'll peddle in the duck, I could do with toning my thigh's big time. My kids would love that tree house & I have a daughter that lives on popsicles even in the winter. Glad it was a good trip.

joolee

magical.

Nancy

Thanks for sharing more photos! Nothing makes me happier in the whole world than being out in the country...you can just shee the happienss shining through your kids. You and I would get in trouble together, becuase I have a serious problem of falling in love with houses that are out in the middle of nowhere. I grab flyers, strat daydreaming, imagine what my garden would look like, what I'd be canning, what pie I'd be baking....that is a beautiful home. I'm sure your parents wouldn't mind at all if you bought it! :)

LuLu

Thank you for the wonderful treat of seeing life on the farm! Your kids are so sweet! The popsicles looked wonderful!!!

Wonderful images, and it looks like such a sweet place to visit...I can remember going to my grandma's house and having so much fun with my cousins, and they didn't have a tree house, smores, or live in the country, but they had a pool and we lived in it!! Thanks for sharing..maybe the kids can go next year for a week without you! :) XO
