I love this title because believe me....after France my wallet is ANYTHING but full!

Now..I can't let a little thing like money keep me from fall fashion:-)

OK..I can.

If you are anything like me you don't go and buy a whole new fall wardrobe..you just want a few UNIQUE and DIFFERENT pieces to add to your closet each season.

As much as I love Anthropologie I had to give up that LOVE to save for France.

VERY much worth giving up Anthro to stroll along the Seine.

Before I went to France I bought many new items from Ruche and a local store in Ft. Collins (The White Balcony) that carries many of the same brands.

If you have never checked out Ruche you are in for a huge treat. Anthro look....a FRACTION of the cost!

Sunflowers

Day Five was a bit overcast and rainy for most of the morning.

I loved the cooler air and even though the rain changed our plans I loved seeing France through the rain.

The afternoon sun came out and gave me the opportunity to head back out and take some photos of the countryside.

I was joined by Molly and Alexis.

We laughed so much and could have gotten into a little trouble with the older locals...but no arrest was made.

I took way too many photos of sunflowers...but you will be spared because I am currently busy getting our family packed and ready to head to my parent's farm in Illinois.

Enjoy just a GLIMPSE (believe me on this one) of the gorgeous sunflower fields I saw while in the south of France.

If you have been following my blog for awhile now...you know how much my children LOVE the farm and it truly is their favorite place on earth.

Our days will soon be filled with cornfields, tree swings, tree houses, lightning bugs, Lizzie the dog, bonfires, dirt from head to toe, old friends, tractor rides and quiet.

{Day Five}

It had rained all night.

At times hard and at other times a soft, consistent rain that is so soothing.

The day was supposed to start with a 90 minute walk into the next town through sunflower fields and the French countryside.

The rain changed our plans.

 

 

We ended up driving to the town and exploring the architecture, churches, tapestries and a chocolat or two.

 

 

Our day also consisted of a visit to a vocal artist that makes the most incredible tapestries on a huge loom.

 

What a lost art and so amazing to get a glimpse into how long and detailed this art form is.

 

The afternoon sun later came out and I was able to go back and get photos of the sunflower fields and the gorgeous countryside.......that is for another day.
